Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Description:

This position is an associate level role. The staff accountant will perform the following duties among others;
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Minimum Requirements:
• Have an honors degree (any degree, accounting preferred).
• ACCA Affiliate.
• Not more than 3 years of work experience.
• Proficient in OHADA and GAAP accounting standards.
• Proficient in English and French.
• Willing to travel 50% of the time.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Job Title: Staff Lawyer
Job Description:

This position is an associate level role. The staff lawyer will perform the following duties among others;
• Negotiating, writing and executing agreements and contracts, request for proposals and other legal documents.
• Offering counsel on a variety of legal issues.
• Advising company executives.
• Working alongside other departments within the company.
• Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals.
• Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the company.
• Reviewing advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements.
• Providing training to the company on legal topics.
• Serve as legal secretary and agent for service.

Minimum Requirements:
• Must have a law degree from a recognized university.
• Must be admitted to the Cameroon bar (barrister-at-law).
• Must have at least 3 years of experience gained in large law firm.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate. effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
• Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.

Job Description:

This position an administrative role. The duties include but are not limited to;
• Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
• Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
• Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
• Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.
• Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
• Maintains office staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Maintains office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Mastery in written and oral translation from English to French and vice versa.

• Comfort with a very fast paced environment.
